Q: I want to buy a gift Membership, do you have gift certificates?
A: Yes, gift certificates are available online, at the front gates, by calling the Membership office 412-365-2534, or by filling out and mailing in the Gift Certificate Order Form.
Q: May I bring a guest if the second adult listed on the card can’t attend?
A: All Memberships are non-transferable. Only the names listed on the card are admitted. Photo ID is required.
Q: Can
I buy/renew Memberships online?
A: Yes, it will generate your id number and your confirmation is then your temporary card. You must present a copy of the confirmation to the cashier for admittance.
Q: Can I purchase a Membership the day of my visit?
A: Yes, Memberships can be purchased at the front entrance and will include your admission for that day. A temporary card will be issued at that time.
Q: Is my Membership fee tax-deductible?
A: Yes, up to $75.
Q: What happens if I lose my card?
A: You can show Photo ID at the gate for admittance or apply for a duplicate card ($5) at the gate or by phone.
Q: Is my Membership good for a calendar year or a year from the date of purchase?
A: Memberships are good one year from the date of purchase. Gift certificates are good a year from the date of redemption.
Q: When I renew what will be my new expiration date?
A: Memberships automatically renew from the current expiration date. If your Membership has lapsed, the new expiration date will be one year from the new purchase date.
Q: When will I receive my Membership card?
A: Please allow 2 weeks for delivery…if you haven’t received your card in this time, please contact the Membership office 412-365-2534.
Q: How do I add a guest?
A: The Family Plus level comes with 10 guest admissions. If you only have the Family level, you can upgrade for $35 and get the guest admissions. (please note: guest admissions are only valid at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium)
Q: Do you have a single parent Membership?
A: No, Memberships cover households. If only one adult resides there, only one is covered.
Q: Can I purchase a Membership for my daycare?
A: No, Memberships cover households. Group rates are available for 15 or more people when arrangements are made 2 weeks in advance.
Q: Can my childcare provider use my Membership card to bring my kid(s)?
A: Yes, your childcare provider must have your membership card. Your children will receive free admission with your Membership card, and the childcare provider can use a guest admission (if applicable) or pay regular admission.
